Believing in God - 55 Christian Quotes

Believing in God can be a challenge – even to people who call themselves “Christians.”

Believing in God does not make us Christians. Satan believes in God. Demons probably believe in God. And I suspect a lot of very bad people believe in God – in fact, they might actually HATE God.

For now, let’s focus on the GOOD kind of belief. The kind of belief that is evidenced by faith, prayer and good works.

And what does the “good” kind of belief look like?

It looks like our friends working at the Good News Rescue Mission. It looks like the woman I saw handing a homeless man a meal bar on the sidewalk in Redding. It looks like people in sincere worship at church.

Believing in God

Believing in God

It looks like a group of mothers meeting each week to pray and learn more about God.

It looks like passionate missionaries traveling, helping people and sharing the gospel. It looks like present-day martyrs being imprisoned and dying for their Christian actions and beliefs.

If we believe the gospel of Christ, give our lives to Him, and act like Jesus acted, we can be sure God will provide for us, give us strength, and show us the right path for our lives.

I love this collection of Christian quotes about believing in God (the good kind of belief) put together by Jennifer Johns at Going by Faith…

55 Christian Quotes about Believing in God…

We all have moments when we question our faith; when we feel the temptation to wonder, Is God real? If you want inspirational quotes about believing in God (and bible verses about belief), here are 55.

Because like C.S. Lewis once said, “You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you.”

Quotes and Bible Verses about Believing in God

1. “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. (Matt 11:22)

2. “A god who let us prove his existence would be an idol.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer

3. “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.” (Jesus in John 14:10)

4. “You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense.” (Rick Warren quote)

5. “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.” (Acts 20:21)

6. “Faith activates God – Fear activates the Enemy.” (Joel Osteen)

7. “For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.” (1 Thessalonians 4:14)

Read The Rest Here

I especially like Rick Warren’s quote (#4) that essentially says life will NOT make sense until we clearly realize that we were made by God FOR God. We were not made to run around chasing whatever comforts us, satisfies us, or makes us “happy.”

Believing in God Is A Choice

Believing in God is not a ticket to heaven. It just give us a better chance of making the right decision.

Will we give our lives to Christ or will we continue living to please ourselves? Believing in God is not the real issue. The real issue is…

What choice will we make?

Why was this brave Christian in China? Apparently to do what she believed was God’s Will.

Christians are routinely harrassed, investigated and jailed in China. Because of the constant persecution of Chinese Christians, occasionally people from other countries, like Jenny Chen from Canada, travel to China to support them.

Christian in China - The Danger

Christian in China - The Danger

Sometimes it doesn’t go so well if you are a foreign Christian in China. Although Jenny knew the danger, she risked her life anyway in an attempt to provide comfort, support and friendship to an isolated group of persecuted Christians in China who desperately needed it.

Jenny Chen escaped, but barely.

Christian in China – The Danger

Here are excerpts from the story about the frightening ordeal faced by this brave Canadian Christian in China. The story comes from the China Aid Association…

"Motivated by Christian concern for her fellow believers, Chen and her daughter traveled to Beijing and Shanxi. On Christmas Day, she was an eyewitness to police action in front of the Jindeng Church established by the Linfen house church. She saw both regular and armed police and police vehicles, including armored personnel carriers, surrounding the church to stop church members from attending a Christmas worship service. Police blocked streets leading to the church and closed nearby shops. Chen was followed and threatened by plainclothes police officers..." "Chen said she had no organizational affiliation nor was she on any overseas mission...."

Few Christians have the interest, the courage and the determination that Jenny Chen displayed as a foreign Christian in China. It was a true act of faith to boldly step into that situation without hesitation.

Jenny Chen – A Christian in China – So What Happened?

Here’s more from the China Aid Association story…

"She said she was simply an overseas Christian whose conscience had propelled her to return to China to visit her fellow believers. The agents appeared not to believe her and threatened to imprison her for more than ten years for subverting state power and stealing state secrets if she did not tell them the truth. The agents also beat her, pulling her hair and slapping her hard...."

We can all learn from her. And those of us in free countries can be thankful that we are able to worship without threat, work or build our own businesses as we see fit, and socialize with the people we choose.

It’s tough to be a Christian in China. I’m thankful for the perspective that Jenny Chen’s story provides. And I hope her story inspires people around the world to passionately pursue His Will for their lives too, whatever it might be.

Building and Monetizing An Email List

Building and monetizing an email list. How exactly do you do it?

This is seriously one of the most important elements to making
money online…

Building your own personal database of targeted followers, fans
and loyal customers, is critical to making sales, no matter what
you are promoting online.

Once you build up your list and develop relationships with your
subscribers via email, you will have a profitable, stable and
long-term asset you can profit from for many years to come!

Building and monetizing an email list is not hard. It just takes
a little knowledge and a little focus.

So enough of the gab, how do you actually start…

Building and Monetizing An Email List

Building and Monetizing An Email List

Building and Monetizing An Email List

First, BLOG DAILY on your Empower Network blog.

The nice thing about your Empower Network blog is that it is
already set up for you. You just make posts daily and you will
attract visitors. When people click on the banners on your blog,
they will enter their names and emails and become your leads.

(If you don’t already have your own Empower Network blog,
get your’s here…  Get an Empower Network blog

Second for building and monetizing an email list link your
Empower Network blog to your OWN autoresponder. Why? So
you can send your own emails directly to your leads (instead of
always relying on Empower Network to do it).

This is very easy to do in your back office.

I recommend using the Aweber autoresponder service. It’s
affordable and its reputation is unmatched.

If you don’t already have Aweber, grab it here…

Get Aweber

Once you have Aweber, just go to your Empower Network back office,
click “My Tools,” and then click “Click Here To Add Your Aweber
List Name.”

And that’s it. You have now set yourself up properly for building and
monetizing an email list.

So you have some people on your list. NOW WHAT?

Building and Monetizing An Email List: BE CONSISTENT

Send at least one and preferably TWO emails per day to your list
(either 5 or 7 days a week)…

In the first email, focus on providing your subscribers with a dose
of high value content.

Teach them an important skill, tell a relevant story, summarize a
great new marketing article you’ve found (or one you’ve written).

You want to give them something of VALUE that will help them
solve a challenge they face in their business. Or tell them a story
that helps them relate better to YOU.

In no time the word will spread that YOU are the one people can
count on to show them how to build a more profitable and
successful business online!

Make your second email primarily a promotional email. For example,
encourage people to join something, buy something or look at
something you are promoting.

Don’t be shy. Just tell them to do it. Give them a clear call to action.
It doesn’t have to be long – it just has to be compelling.

Get serious about finally building and monetizing an email list.

A quote I heard several years ago… “I sent one email a day and
made $100,000 a year. I sent two a day and made $100,000 a

You might not make that much, but you might.
Who knows? I have no idea.

I do know this. As you write more and more emails (just like writing
blog posts daily), you WILL get better and more effective at writing.

Good writing means more people will like and trust you. When more
people like and trust you, you make more money.

So, when is the best time to send your emails?

The best times seem to be between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Eastern
Standard Time (EST in the United States), and again between 4:30 p.m.
and 9:00 p.m. EST.

If you use Aweber, you can write your emails anytime. Then, you can
schedule them to go out whenever you want. You choose the day and
the time that makes sense for each email.

Very simple, eh? Building and monetizing an email list is NOT hard.
But it’s one of the most important things you can do to build a solid,
income-producing business online.

To your success,

New Online Marketing Tactics

It’s time for new online marketing tactics. Times are changing and changing fast!

Google and its Google Panda updates have turned the SEO world upside down. Google wants what Google wants, and there’s nothing we can do about it. We just need to roll with the punches, stay positive and keep up…

We still need Google love!

Why Do I Need New Online Marketing Tactics?

Building a list and marketing through email is becoming harder. Getting someone to read a full-length sales letter is almost impossible. The wild west mentality of throwing out lousy videos is just about over (Google’s getting smarter and smarter all the time).

New Online Marketing Tactics You Have to Keep Up!

It’s important to keep up with the new online marketing tactics that make Google happy and help you turn prospects into customers and clients.

As Jason Fladlien says in his article entitled Understanding Where The Market Is At

“Boy time changes things doesn’t it? The same is true for internet marketing. There is stuff going on in the market place right now that is important for you to understand, so you can position yourself to best profit from it.”

If you don’t keep up with the times, you WILL get left behind. After you find out what new online marketing tactics are working now, you just need to work smart and work HARD. Here is another excerpt with some great “in-the-trenches” insights from Jason’s article…

“I’ll tell you what I tell my personal coaching clients all the time – to “win” in internet marketing it comes down to outworking your competition.

That’s the “magic”. It’s ideal to work both smarter AND harder, but just harder will do. Look how many pieces of software I’ve put out in the last few months. That’s more than most software providers put out in a life time!

I do it through lots of hard work and extreme discipline toward building systems. I still don’t know a better way to succeed in that.

The final takeaways are this…

a) start thinking multi-integration. If you have an email list, get them also to follow you on facebook and think of some (even if very small) mobile integration you can implement.

b) consider paid traffic again. At the first least start studying meticulously what’s being advertised on facebook and HOW it’s being advertised.

c) think of ways to sell your stuff that doesn’t require your sales letter to do all the heavy lifting for you. This means webinars, social communities and a vision for long term quality control.

Despite all these new challenges, I think with facebook on the rise the way it is, right now the opportunity is easier than normal. It won’t stay that way forever though.”

New Online Marketing Tactics – What Now?

Discipline and hard work. Works every time, and it will again, if you pay attention and keep up with the new online marketing tactics that work and the trends that are emerging.

Why don’t people understand me when I try to explain something important to them? That’s a question we all wonder about from time to time, right?

It’s easy to get disheartened, frustrated, even angry, when you talk with someone and they just don’t seem to get it. Maybe you’re explaining a better way to handle a dispute, fix a relationship, make a sale, or fix a golf swing.

You might have what you believe to be excellent personal knowledge, education or training on the subject, but it doesn’t seem to matter. They still don’t understand you, even after you’ve done your sincere best.

Why Don’t People Understand Me? Imagine A Tomato Plant

Imagine you are trying to grow a beautiful, productive tomato plant. You love tomatoes. You know tomatoes are terrific for your health. So you want lots and lots of them to eat raw and to use in your favorite recipes. You want even more to serve to your family and friends… and to give away to people you want admiring your green thumb.

Lee Abbott Presents - Why Don't People Understand Me When I Try To Explain Something Important?

Lee Abbott "Always Giving Away My Secrets"

You plant the perfect seed, water it, and wait. But it just doesn’t seem to come out right. It grows slowly, looks sickly and only produces two tomatos that never quite mature.

Do you blame the tomato plant? Or do you look at its diet and its environment – like the soil, available sunlight, weather, bugs… Doesn’t it make sense to NOT blame the tomato plant, but instead to look at everything that affects the plant?

The same holds true for people. Each individual is shaped by their environment. So, when you wonder… why don’t people understand me when I try to explain something important… take a step back for a moment and think about it.

People develop their realities, their biases, their perspective and their blind spots based on the input their brains have received over their entire lifetime. They could be affected by their education, their experiences, the opinions of their close friends, their family, their values, their religion or even some tragedy you’re not aware of.

Why Don’t People Understand Me – The Reality

The reality is, it’s sort of like being a sales person. You approach many people before you are able to persuade someone to buy from you. Often, it’s a just a matter of talking with the right person at the right time. Sometimes you see it coming and sometimes you don’t.

If you are trying to sell a home heating unit to someone who just bought a new one for $12,000 last year, how successful do you think you’ll be? What if they never bothered to give you that tidbit of info? Who’s fault is it that you didn’t make the sale? Hmmm…

If you try to help someone mend a relationship with a person who reminds them of an abusive uncle, who should you blame if they don’t come around?

The answer to the question “Why don’t people understand me when I try to explain something important?” is that you may never know.

Why Don’t People Understand Me – What Can You Do?

You cannot expect to know everyone completely. There will always be information that you are missing. You don’t really know how their experiences, values and belief systems will affect the way they interpret your information.

Do your best to customize your approach to the person you are talking with based on your personal knowledge about them. Then realize that they may or may not be persuaded. It’s not their fault, and it’s not your fault. It’s just the way life is.

Now this information is in YOUR knowledge base. I hope it will help when you are tempted to become frustrated as you ask yourself the question “why don’t people understand me when I try to explain something important?”
